About MVRCC
The Miami Valley Radio Control Club has been bringing RC aviation enthusiasts together in the Cincinnati/Dayton, Ohio area for decades. We're a welcoming club for pilots of all skill levels.
Our story
A club built on a love of flight
The Miami Valley Radio Control Club was founded by a small group of RC aviation enthusiasts who wanted a dedicated place to fly and a community to share the hobby with. What started as a handful of pilots has grown into a thriving club with members ranging from first-time flyers to seasoned competitors.
Over the years we've maintained our flying field, hosted fly-ins and fun flies, and welcomed countless new members into the hobby. Whether you fly fixed-wing, helicopters, or multirotors, you'll find fellow pilots here who share your passion.
AMA affiliation
Proud AMA member club
MVRCC is a chartered club of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), the national organization for model aviation in the United States. AMA membership provides our pilots with liability coverage and connects us to a nationwide community of over 200,000 RC enthusiasts.
Learn more about AMASafety first
Flying safely together
All MVRCC members are expected to follow AMA safety guidelines and good airmanship practices at the field. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
AMA Safety Code
All flying must comply with the AMA National Model Aircraft Safety Code. Current AMA membership is required for all members.
Fly within your ability
Know your aircraft and your skill level. If you're new to the hobby, ask an experienced member for guidance before your first flight.
Respect other pilots
Coordinate with other flyers on the field. Announce your intentions, yield appropriately, and keep the flying area safe for everyone.
Pre-flight checks
Always inspect your aircraft and verify your radio equipment before flying. A quick pre-flight check prevents most incidents.
FAA registration
Aircraft weighing 0.55 lbs or more must be registered with the FAA. Display your registration number on your aircraft as required.
No flying under the influence
Never operate an aircraft while impaired. This is an AMA rule, a club rule, and common sense.
Club leadership
Meet the officers
Officer positions are elected annually at the club's year-end meeting. Interested in serving? Talk to any current officer.
